online dating vs traditional dating

Whether you always or only occasionally work from home, you’ve probably already taken the time to organize your office to optimize efficiency. However, you may not have considered making sure your home office is a safe place for you and your clients.

R&A Contracting wants to help, so we put together this guide to get you started.

Consider UV Lights for Your HVAC System

The power of UV light has been known for years. Hospitals use it for sterilization purposes in their HVAC systems.

Not only does it help rid your home of viruses and bacteria, but UV light can reduce mold and dust mites as well.

Disposable Masks

Although the use of masks is up in the air as of now, you can still ask your clients to wear one, and you can wear one, too, to limit the spread of airborne pathogens. Stock up so you always have disposable masks on hand.

Hold Virtual Meetings

Technology gives you the ability to talk to clients anywhere in the world from your own home via webcam. Eliminate your need to get on an airplane or meet someone locally in person with virtual meetings. You’ll be reducing your risk of transmitting a viral or bacterial infection while decreasing your clients’ chances as well.

One helpful tip: Position lighting behind your computer and in front of you so you remain the focus of the meeting. Your webcam automatically adjusts the light, so when you have lighting in the back, the light becomes the focal point.

Open the Curtains and Windows

Vitamin D is an essential vitamin for your immune system. It’s also necessary for bone health and brain function. While it’s difficult to get enough vitamin Dwhen you work in front of a computer for eight hours every day, you can increase your intake by opening the curtains in your home office as you work.

Open your window to get fresh air circulating throughout the room. This will help keep mold and mildew at bay. Additionally, the fresh air will reduce airborne microbes and decrease household air pollutants.

Make Office Home Improvements

If you only have a small amount of natural light that shines in, add a full window in your home office. This upgrade is a bit costly, but natural light has several health benefits, such as reducing eyestrain and improving your mood. Plus, this office upgrade can increase the value of your home. Make sure you take before and after pictures, so you can accurately track how much the upgrades enhanced your home’s appraisal value.

Of course, natural light isn’t the only way to increase light in your home office. You could also install either a ceiling light or one on the wall to decrease eyestrain.

Add an additional electrical outlet if you only have one. That way, you can have enough electrical sockets to run your equipment. Additionally, this will make the space more office-friendly if you plan to sell your home in the future.

Implement Technology for Safer Transactions

In this day and age, technology allows you to handle an array of tasks without the need to complete these in person. For example, you can send invoices and estimates electronically, using SoftwareAs A Service (SaaS) programs especially designed to create formal-looking business documents. You can alsoreceive paymentthrough methodsthat allow you tomove money from one account to another without ever exchanging secure bank information. You can even use online services to handle tasks like starting an LLC, social media management and more.

When you minimize in-person transactions, you reduce your risk of spreading or contracting an illness. Moreover, you’ll find contactless transactions save you time and gas money.

Making improvements in the technology you use and employing other simple tactics can help you make your home a safer space for business.

I’d be an idiot if I did not take this opportunity to communicate to you how much we appreciate the way in which you conduct business and take care of our facility. In my experience you, and your team, are at the top of the list of all the roofing companies I’ve dealt with over the years. Thank you!

Jim Lowry - Bissinger's Handcrafted Chocolatier

Eric and crew were really nice to have around. They were courteous, careful and caused little if any disruption. Their work looks good too! To be honest… a good experience with a product that I initially had misgivings about. I’m a convert because of Bubba, Sam and Eric. Thank you.

Jim Lowry - Bissinger's Handcrafted Chocolatier

“I want to thank the crew at R&A for a job well done on our very leaky roof at the shop. It is certainly nice to have the drips and rivers gone from the shop when it is raining. I also wanted you to know how much we appreciated that the guys were able to stay out of our way and allowed us to do business as usual without any problems or interruptions. The roof looks great and the clean-up after the job made it so we couldn’t even tell you’d been here. Thanks for doing what you do so well!”

Jay Moore, President of Safe Way Tire and Auto Center

“My wife and I were on vacation when water pipes burst in our house. We got a hold of Craig and the R&A crew was able to start evacuating the water immediately. The best part was that they were able to start work before we even returned home. It was a very fast turnaround considering the extensive amount of water damage.”

Will from Dardenne Prairie, MO

“Craig and Mike came out in a timely fashion when we needed the work done. They did a reliable and quality job.”

Jerry from SLR Properties

“Craig helped us out tremendously with the insurance process. Timely and very professional.”

Lindell from Greater Missouri Builders (GMB)

“We purchased a house and there was some damage to the roof. Very impressed with the thoroughness of Mike’s inspection. Very comfortable with their explanation of what needed to be fixed. Most impressive was the way they protected our landscaping. Really liked the way they treated me as a valued customer, even though it was only a small project.”

Ross from Troy, MO

“I use R&A Contracting when my commercial roofs receive storm damage. They work on our behalf through every step of the insurance claim process. They perform all of the work and complete the insurance process, making our roofs better than they were before the storm.”

Director of Facilities for a large Property Management Company

“The team at R & A Contracting responded immediately when notified of our water disaster. They removed water-damaged materials and property quickly and restored our home even before the final settlement from our insurance company. They minimized how long our family had to live in a hotel and got us back to normal as fast as possible.”
